CUT Productions now offers AS-11 compliance and delivery file formats for broadcast TV.
AS-11 will by the end of 2014 be the mandatory delivery format for TV Programmes, both HD and legacy SD, to all broadcasters internationally, superseding HDCAM SR tape. Production companies and Facilities should really be developing their strategies now for this transition. Basically the new format includes video essence in an AVC Intra 100 mxf format (D10 or Sony IMX for SD) with audio in PCM pairs, AC3 (Dolby Digital) or Dolby E encoded formats. This will be wrapped in a file containing specific programme Metadata.
